New Homes For Sale in Round Hill, VA - New Homes in Northern Virginia, Condominiums, Townhomes, Condos, Home Builders

Round Hill, Virginia located 45 miles northwest of Washington D.C. lies in the Loudoun Valley at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, minutes away from Leesburg and a reasonable commute to Dulles International Airport.

Incorporated in 1900 and named after a 910 foot high knob, Round Hill was the terminus of the Washington and Old Dominion rail road line in the late 1800’s and a popular summer retreat for wealthy Washingtonians seeking refuge from the heat, humidity and disease of the city’s summer months. Boarding houses, stables and merchants often depended on their livelihoods from vacationers who, with the convenience of the railroad, found Round Hill an ideal summertime getaway. During the Civil War, Round Hill served as an observation post for both the Confederate and Union armies as they moved through the countryside.

There is something very special about Loudoun County’s Round Hill with its breathtaking mountain and Loudoun Valley views. Round Hill is a mecca for those seeking the advantages of privacy, acreage and lower new home construction pricing. It offers the most affordable new single family home opportunities in the Northern Virginia marketplace. In response to Loudoun County’s 2001 comprehensive plan to limit development by 44%, residential construction was restricted in this area to preserve its natural beauty likely providing an environment for above average home appreciation in the future.

No new townhouses or condominiums are currently for sale in Round Hill Virginia but there are some relatively new townhomes from the $200's in the resale marketplace. Single family homes are priced from the $370's at The Villages of Round Hill by Oak Hill Properties. Winchester Homes is selling well optioned luxury single family homes on three to five acres in the $475,000 to $600,000+ range. Winchester, a well-organized and operated public subsidiary of Weyerhauser Corporation, offers its "Your Home, Your Way" building program option encouraging homebuyers to customize an otherwise production Northern Virginia building experience.

Due to the current economic climate in 2008-2009, we recommend all prospective purchasers contact us and request current data for newer homes and communities available in Round Hill to confirm all housing value opportunities and new home building prices have been reviewed. Builders in Round Hill vary in perceived reputation, quality, location, square footage and appreciation potential. The Council will clarify the variables for you free of charge.
