New Homes in Bristow Virginia (VA)
Bristow VA New Homes, Townhomes & Condos for Sale
New Homes in Bristow and Gainesville are located approximately 35 miles west of Washington D.C. and 25 miles from Dulles International Airport, near the intersection of I-66 and Lee Highway (Route 29). Residents enjoy direct access to the Capital Beltway making the area an attractive housing alternative for those employed in and around Washington D.C. In fact, the region is now one of the nation's fastest growing, most dynamic new home building markets.
Rich in history, western Prince William County is just a few miles west of Manassas Battlefield Park, site of the Civil War's first battle. Originally located at the junction of the Manassas Gap Railroad and the Fauquier-Alexandria Turnpike, Gainesville, Virginia was a changing point for stagecoach horses named after Thomas Gaines, the town's first postmaster.
In the 1940's, Gainesville was merely a gas station, a few houses and stores. Throughout the 1970's, it was a metal manufacturing center and a cattle shipping hub. In the 1980's and 1990's, Centreville, VA was known as the Interstate corridor's new home market value. Today, urban sprawl has turned several miles westward to Gainesville, Haymarket and Bristow. These modern suburban boom towns are bustling with new businesses, housing developments, golf courses and restaurants. Fortunately ten years ago Prince William County addressed traffic congestion, approved and subsequently completed major expansion plans for I-66 and Route 29 facilitating the commute to Washington DC and other areas of Northern Virginia.
Home to thousands of new residents and an impressive array of current and projected housing developments, Gainesville, Haymarket and Bristow now compete with one of America's strongest new home development markets, Loudoun County's Ashburn and Leesburg, Virginia. New home prices in Prince William County are generally more reasonable, particularly in 2012 as Prince William County's home costs have dramatically declined spurring a flurry of home purchasing for single family homes and townhomes in the $400,000 and under price range.
Reduced new home prices in recently built home communities such as Lake Manassas, Piedmont, Dominion Valley Country Club and Virginia Oaks offer value oriented golf enthusiasts a variety of championship courses. Braemar and award winning Victory Lakes make this region a favorite with families seeking planned suburban developments flush with sporting facilities.
The best selling single family community in Prince William County for 2010 and 2011 was the Morris Farm subdivision located in Gainesville contiguous to Bristow.
